What are the alternate methods for cooking Rice-A-Roni cups?

Two cups at a time in a microwave: Add seasoning to each cup, add water to line on each cup, and stir. Microwave on high for 6 minutes, let stand 2 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is tender. Doing any more than 2 cups at a time makes it take longer than doing the cups individually. If microwaving 3 cups, do 2 and then 1; if microwaving 4 cups, do 2 then 2, etc.
Stovetop Method: Add 2/3 cup water, seasoning and rice to saucepan. Bring to boil, boil for 3 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes or until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
Steep: Rice-A-Roni cups are not designed to be cooked using boiling water. However, if a microwave is unavailable and a steep method is to be applied, you can peel the lid halfway, add ½ cup of boiling water, place the lid back on and hold it down with a utensil, steep it for 15 minutes until water is absorbed and rice is tender.
